From the Dock
- Shows only the section of cable above the waterline
- The cable may look clean and solid where you can see it
- Wear below the surface stays hidden
What you see above the water doesn't tell the whole story.
A dock cable can look fine from the dock and still have problems under the surface.
LOZ Dive provides dock cable inspections and replacements throughout Lake of the Ozarks. Our commercial divers go below the waterline to visually inspect the part of the cable you can't see from above. If an inspection identifies a cable that needs replacement, our team can handle the replacement too.
Your dock cables hold your dock in place.
Over time, fraying and corrosion can weaken a cable. That kind of wear doesn't always look serious at first. But a cable with visible deterioration may be getting close to failure.
If a dock cable snaps, your dock may be able to swing or move. Depending on where it sits, it could contact a neighboring dock or the shoreline.
A cable inspection helps identify worn or failing cables so they can be replaced before they break. Finding the problem early may help you avoid a bigger dock repair later.
Replace the worn cable on your schedule, not after it snaps.
Most people check their dock cables by looking at them from the dock. That's a good start. But it only shows you the part of the cable that sits above the water.
This is one of LOZ Dive's biggest advantages. Our commercial divers can evaluate the portions of the cable that can't be adequately inspected from the surface, so you're not relying only on what's visible from the dock.
Above the water and below it, our team checks each accessible section of cable for signs of wear.
Broken or separating strands along the cable.
Rust and corrosion that can weaken a cable over time.
Wear or damage that shows the cable is breaking down.
Areas of the cable that appear close to failing and should be replaced.
When an inspection shows a cable needs replacement, LOZ Dive can handle the replacement too.
You don't have to find a second company, explain the problem all over again or wait on someone else's schedule. The team that found the problem can fix it.
If a cable has already snapped, call or text us. We offer 24/7 emergency service.

Customers may describe cable problems in different ways: dock cable, shore cable, winch cable, snapped cable or dock anchor. You don't need to know the exact terminology. Tell us what you're seeing, and our team can evaluate the situation.

Visible fraying, corrosion and other deterioration are all signs a cable may be wearing out. Some sections can look close to failure. Keep in mind that wear can also sit below the waterline where you can't see it from the dock.
